Police in Papua New Guinea seized the cocaine in the amount of 86 million dollars (6.3 billion rubles), which, in their opinion, was destined for Australia. It is reported by RNZ.
The Commissioner of the local police David manning (David Manning) said that on Board the plane that crashed in the Dad-Lily near Port Moresby, was 750 kilograms of cocaine.
Australian pilot of a light aircraft Cessna 402C was arrested and charged with illegal entry into the country. Police said he cooperated with the investigation and after his arrest was found 28 packets of drugs.
It is noted that it is the largest value of the confiscated consignment of drugs in the country’s history. Manning told EMTV that and Papua New Guinea, and the Australian police continue to cooperate to hunt down the source of the drugs, as well as local collaborators in both countries.
