Patrolmen detained the man after his skirmish with military personnel. He behaved aggressively and had drug-containing pills with him.

On March 8, a video appeared on social networks in which patrol officers detained a man whom the military tried to hand over a summons. Law enforcement officers, in order to dispel false speculation about this situation, told how everything really happened.

The man provoked the conflict

On March 7, a man turned to line 102. He spoke about the conflict that he had with the military and workers of the utility company.

At the place of the call, the patrolmen found a citizen who cursed and behaved aggressively. At the request of the police to stop, he did not react and continued to provoke a conflict. To appease the violator, the patrol officers used physical force and handcuffs.

During a superficial check, pills were found on the man. According to the detainee, they were of narcotic origin. The most severe punishment for such an offense is up to 5 years of restriction of liberty.

Law enforcement officers have already entered the data into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations. Administrative materials were also filed against the detainee for:

  • petty mischief,
  • Willful disobedience to a lawful order or command from a police officer.

In turn, the servicemen also made relevant materials against the man.

What is the responsibility for ignoring the agenda

Recently, lawyers told what responsibility awaits a person if he ignores the agenda. In particular, as of March 2023, this is 3,400 – 5,100 hryvnia fines (from 200 to 300 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens).

The decision to impose a fine is made by the employees of the TCC. In turn, the person liable for military service may appeal the relevant decision, for which the legislation provides for 10 days. The fine must be paid within 15 days from the date of delivery of the decision.
