On the morning of August 1, an explosion thundered in one of the civilian buildings in Nizhny Tagil. As a result, two entrances actually “fell”.

At the same time, Mayor Vladislav Pinaev called a similar incident a “bang” of gas. This was reported by Russian media, informs 24 Channel.

Today, part of a house collapsed on Sibirskaya Street in Nizhny Tagil. According to the mayor, preliminary estimates indicate that two entrances were “demolished” due to a “gas explosion.” Emergency services are currently at the scene, and the rubble is being cleared.

There were also the first casualties as a result of this explosion.

I am also at the scene now. The collapsed structures are being cleared. According to the latest data from the city's Unified Duty Dispatch Service, three people were injured, including two children. All of them will be provided with assistance, both psychological and financial, Pinaev claims.

Locals are complaining about two men who allegedly hit a gas pipe and ran away shortly before the explosion. The gas service claims that they did not send any workers to this house, and no inspections were planned.

It has already been noted that at least 20 apartments were under the rubble. This happened approximately 20 minutes after the first explosion. The blast wave also blew out windows in a kindergarten located 50 meters from the Nizhny Tagil five-story building where the gas exploded today.
