Mykolaiv has a copy of the cruiser “Moskva” – the same cruiser “Ukraina”/”Sputnik”
В Nikolaev has a copy of the recently scuttled Russian cruiser Moskva. This vessel was planned to be called “Ukraine”.
However, as of now, it has not been completed. Oleksandr Senkevich, mayor of Nikolaev, told journalists about this.

The fact is that the flagship of the Russian military was built in Ukraine. At the same factory where our cruiser now stands. Work on our cruiser did not stop by chance.
Today in Nikolaev there is nothing that would be of interest to the Russians. For two factories, the greatest, shipbuilding, they bought after the collapse of the Soviet Union, the Churkin brothers and all this lads, and ruined them, – said Senkevich.
He added that now the factories are no longer working. It should be noted that earlier there were two shipbuilding plants in Nikolaev.
How the Moskva sank
This cruiser was the pride of the Russian Navy. It had a lot of weapons, so attacks from the ship could be carried out on different targets. In particular, missiles were also launched at Ukrainian cities. Fortunately, this stopped, because on April 14 the ship was hit by several missiles from the Ukrainian coastal complex “Neptun”.
There were about 510 crew members on the ship. All Kremlin propaganda says that “no one died” there. However, dozens of sailors are already known who will never return home from military service.
The image of the “indestructible Russian fleet” has practically drowned with the ship. In Crimea, the media gradually cease to believe, and the command of the Russian army is so shocked that it generally forbade the exit of its ships from Sevastopol.
