Yesterday, March 25, near a high-rise building in Nikolaev, a man was injured and a woman died due to careless handling of ammunition.
According to the National Police, a man outside the city found shells. He loaded them into the trunk of the car. However, during unloading, the ammunition detonated, as a result of which the woman who helped the man died. Law enforcement officers found out that a 50-year-old man was injured as a result of the explosion, and a 48-year-old woman died, the report says. of the Criminal Code of Ukraine “Violation of the laws and customs of war”.
The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
Recall that a great danger to people is large-caliber ammunition that did not explode after air attacks.
Safety measures for finding ammunition:
- Stay away from such finds.
- Teach the children the need to be be careful not to touch suspicious objects or dangerous ammunition.
- Report such finds to the nearest police station, territorial defense headquarters or authority.
