Lviv patrol officers detained a driver who was driving under the influence of drugs. The man wanted to pay off the patrolmen with a bribe and barbecue.
The incident occurred on the night of June 14 on Horodotska Street. The driver of the Citroen Jumpy violated the rules of the road, and he was stopped by patrolmen. The Lviv resident agreed to be tested for the presence of drugs in his blood, and when the test showed a positive result, he tried to pay off.

It is interesting that the driver was stopped during the curfew, around midnight. During the check of documents, the patrol officers noticed that the driver was under drugs. A 38-year-old man agreed to be tested at a medical facility and the analysis confirmed the presence of drugs in his blood.

When drawing up the protocol, the violator began to offer a bribe to the patrol and said that his wife will be able to bring to the place any amount that the police will name. Inspectors repeatedly warned him of criminal liability for offering a bribe. However, this did not affect the man.
The passenger of the car, a 39-year-old friend of the driver, tried to bribe the police. To save the unfortunate driver from a fine, the man offered the inspectors 3,000 hryvnia and a barbecue. At the same time, he emphasized that the cost of such a brazier today is 10 thousand hryvnias.
Both men face criminal liability
Now both men face criminal liability for offering a bribe to law enforcement officers. They face a fine of up to 12,750 hryvnias or even up to four years in prison.
