Now watching
A 20-year-old guy was on the ride at the time with his older brother.
The older brother ended up on the other side of the river, and the younger brother fell into the water due to a broken ropeway.
All concerned immediately began to pull the cable out of the water.
After a few minutes they managed to do it, but the guy remained in the water.
Subsequently, diving instructor Kirill, in a commentary to journalists for the national telethon One News, called pulling the cable a very big mistake.
In his opinion, it would be much easier for divers to find a person simply by going down the cable.

KGGA position
The Kyiv City State Administration reported that city authorities will require law enforcement officers to thoroughly investigate both the emergency situation itself and the activities of the company operating the attraction, opened in 2021.
Position of the prosecutor's office
After the tragedy in Kyiv, investigators from the Pechersk Police Department opened proceedings under two articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:
- violation of safety rules by a person who is obliged to comply with them, if this violation created a threat of death (Part 2 of Article 272 of the Criminal Code);
- official negligence resulting in the death of a person (Part 3 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code).
The maximum penalty for these articles is up to eight years in prison.
Then the Office of the Prosecutor General recalled that the Kiev City Prosecutor's Office tried to stop the operation of this attraction back in 2021.
Taking into account the potential danger to people’s lives and health, prosecutors in a lawsuit against the Economic Court of Kyiv asked to declare illegal and cancel the order of the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (KCCA) dated January 11, 2021 to recognize the winner of the investment competition of a company not having experience neither in the implementation of such projects nor in the operation of attractions of this type.
The defendants in the case were the executive body of the Kyiv City Council (KCSA), the utility company Pleso and the winning company of the competition.
However, on December 2, 2021, the Economic Court of Kyiv rejected the prosecutor’s claim.
The decision was also upheld by the decision of the Northern Economic Court of Appeal (dated June 16, 2022) and the Supreme Court of Ukraine (dated September 14, 2022).
– The courts and defendants represented by capital officials did not agree with the position of the prosecutor’s office that the cable car across the Dnieper belongs to the high-risk attractions, noted the Office of the Prosecutor General. < /p>
