The Kiev metro plans to launch shuttle service between closed stations from Wednesday, December 13.

Director of the Department of Transport Infrastructure of the Kyiv City State Administration Ruslan Kandibor said that two trains will run along two tracks with an interval of 15-30 minutes.

According to him, shuttle traffic will be launched between Goloseevskaya and Demeevskaya to reduce the load on ground transport. Now the metro is testing shuttle service at night, and then they will develop a train schedule.

At this stage, they plan to launch two trains that will run along two tracks approximately with an interval of 15-30 minutes. However, now Kandibor does not undertake to say for sure that there will be an exact interval.

— We will calculate the schedules and inform so that the passenger understands when he needs to approach the station, — states Kandibor.

Previously it became known that the Kiev Metro is developing an option to launch shuttle traffic in the section between Lybidskaya and Teremki stations through an intact tunnel. Trains will move in both directions along the track without turning around at the end points.
