Users of Kyiv public transport will be able to move around the city more comfortably. And all because the fare can also be paid using bank cards.
The decision to introduce payment for travel in public transport with bank cards was supported by the Kyiv authorities. Thus, she responded to the petition, which was published on the website of the Kyiv City State Administration at the end of July. created by Alexander Schweik. In it, he clearly argued why it is necessary to introduce payment by bank cards. He also noted that a smartphone is not the most reliable way. Especially considering that it must be at least charged.
Schweik also noted that buy paper tickets on buses or trolleybuses are not possible. The same applies to the transport card.
As for the Kyiv Digital app, you cannot fully rely on it either. Indeed, to calculate with its help, you need to have at least a slightly charged smartphone with access to the network. And for guests of the capital, all these problems can spoil the impression of visiting Kyiv.
Since the petition received the required number of votes, it was considered by the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko. He noted that the public transport of the capital provides for the possibility of using bank cards.
Therefore, this type of calculation will be introduced.
Technical means of ASOP (Automated fare collection system – 24 channel ), which are currently installed in public transport rolling stock and at high-speed tram stations of the Kyivpasstrans utility company, are technically ready to accept bank card fares, the head of the city emphasized.
Metro train interval in Kyiv will reduce
The day before, we said that the interval of train traffic near the Kyiv metro will be reduced. Note that on all lines the interval is 5 – 7 minutes at rush hour, as well as 10 – 15 at other times.
Now the interval is experiencing certain adjustments. We are talking about 3 – 4 minutes during peak hours and 6 during interpeak hours. We remind you that during the air raid the metro does not run on the ground sections of the red line, as well as on the green line through the South Bridge.
