In Kyiv, at the University metro station, a passenger was hit by a train. Due to the incident, a number of metro stations in the capital were not operational for some time.

Therefore, four stations of the red line were closed to the entrance: Polytechnic Institute, Vokzalnaya, University, Teatralnaya.

On the red line, trains moved from Akademgorodok station to Shulyavskaya station. And also from Khreshchatyk station to Lesnaya station.

Subsequently, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that shuttle traffic was organized on the red line of the metro from Shulyavskaya station to Teatralnaya.

Trains passed the University station without stopping.

In particular, the Teatralnaya – Golden Gate interchange hub has resumed operation.

At 12:45, the Kyiv City State Administration reported that train traffic on the red metro line had been restored.

Rescuing a passenger who was hit by a subway train

Rescuers arrived at the scene to rescue the man who was hit by the train.

According to the State Emergency Service, today at 10:56 a.m. the operational coordination center received a message that a person had fallen onto the rails under an arriving train at the University metro station.

It turned out that on the rails under the first carriage of the train, there was a man with his legs clamped.

At 11:57 rescuers released the victim from under the subway car. The man is in shock, without traumatic amputation of the lower extremities. He was handed over to emergency medical workers.
