New explosions in Kursk/Channel 24 collage
On the night of June 16, residents of Kursk reported a loud explosion. According to eyewitnesses, it thundered at 00:55. The sound that the Russians traditionally called “clap” swept through all areas of the city.
This was reported by RosSMI and a number of local telegram channels. Photos published by eyewitnesses show that “streaks” formed in the sky after the explosion.
What exactly caused the explosion is unknown
A sound similar to an explosion was reported by residents of several districts of Kursk at night. In particular, the North-West, the KZTO, as well as the settlements of Marshal Zhukov and the village of Selikhovy Dvory. Residents of Kursk wrote that before the “pop” they heard the sound of an airplane.

The administration of the Kursk region explained that the sounds were connected with a “special operation in Ukraine”, but they refused to comment on what exactly this means.

Despite attempts to explain to the residents of Kursk that the situation is under control and there is no reason to panic, people continue to spread alarming posts. Some of them say that “spots” and “streaks” formed in the sky after the explosion. This worried the Russians.

At the same time, conspiracy theories began to spread online. Eyewitnesses publish the sky over Kursk before the explosion. The frames show “red dots”, which, as the authors of the posts note, caused the “pop”.
