In Khmelnytsky, on February 28, a farewell ceremony was held for two rescuers who died while on duty during a Russian drone attack.
Vladislav Dvorak, 21, and Serhiy Sevruk, 31, both died due to injuries sustained in a repeated UAV strike on the city.
Near the photographs and the coffins of the dead lay the equipment of firefighters. Not only friends and relatives came to pay their last respects, but caring citizens, law enforcement officers, rescuers, and National Guardsmen. They were seen off on their knees, to the sound of a fire siren.

They said goodbye to the Heroes at the garrison club of the State Emergency Service in the Khmelnytsky region. For this, hundreds of people gathered there. Rescuers will be buried on March 1.

What is known about the dead rescuers
21-year-old Vladislav Dvorak was the commander of the 1st State Fire and Rescue Unit of Khmelnitsky. The guy comes from the village of Dedkovtsy, Shepetovsky district. He had the rank of ensign of the Civil Protection Service. He had a fiancee whom he planned to marry.
Sergei Sevruk, 31, is a civil protection sergeant and father of two daughters. The hero was from Derazhnya, Khmelnitsky region.
