Voronkin claims that emergency crews have already begun restoration work on the peninsula.

The day before, it was also reported that Feodosia and part of the Belogorsk region were without power due to an accident. The reason was named as technological violations in the Krymenergo networks.

On July 24 it became known that in the city of Saki about 4 thousand subscribers were left without electricity.

Earlier, emergency power outages had already occurred in many areas of the annexed Crimea. At that time, Yalta, Yevpatoriya, Alushta, and Simferopol were partially without power. The Kremlin's protégé in Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, stated that the power outage was due to abnormally hot weather.

On July 17, a number of regions of Russia and part of the annexed Crimea were left without electricity. In total, about a million people were left without power almost simultaneously.
