Almost 20 thousand protesters gathered for a rally in Berlin against restrictive measures due to pandemic coronavirus. Reported by the Associated Press.

The action was attended by supporters of the movement Querdenken (“thinking”) who want “to put an end to the pandemic.” They were holding homemade signs with the slogans “Crown, a false alarm, We are forced to wear a muzzle”, “Natural protection instead of vaccination and We are the second wave.” It is noted that they did not respect social distance and did not wear personal protective equipment.

The rally ended after police intervention. Law enforcement officers filed a complaint against the organizer of the action of non-compliance with preventive measures.

“Thousands of kovediaev (covidiots who ignore warnings about public health and safety) call themselves the second wave. They endanger not only our health but the success in the fight against the pandemic and plans for the revival of the economy, education and society. Irresponsible,” wrote Saskia Esken, one of the leaders of the social democratic party of Germany.

According to 1 August, there are more than 17.6 million infected with coronavirus, of which more than 680 thousand died, and another 10.3 million recovered. Most infected are in the US, Brazil, India, Russia and South Africa. Germany has long been in the top ten countries with the highest number of cases of infection with coronavirus in the country, but is currently on 19 place with an index of 210 thousand people.
