People's Deputy Kovalev was delighted with the arrival of Putin's administration/Alexei Kovalev
People's Deputy Alexei Kovalev, who remained in the temporarily occupied Kherson region, actually admitted his high treason. He was delighted with the arrival of the Kremlin representative in the region.
In his Facebook post, Kovalev spoke about an important meeting of farmers for him, which was attended by a representative of the Putin administration, Sergei Kiriyenko. The people's deputy agreed to cooperate with the occupiers and discussed what would be the future situation with the farmers in the region.
Kovalev wrote various fables that the infidels supposedly came to the territory of the Kherson region forever. And the agrarian sector is gradually integrating into the economic model of Russia.
In addition to agrarian issues, the status of the Kherson region was also discussed. I repeat, Russia is forever and close integration with Russia is already happening,” Kovalev wrote and formally admitted his betrayal.
The Servant of the People has already reacted to the deputy's message
It should be added that earlier Aleksey Kovalev was a representative of the Servant of the People faction in the Verkhovna Rada. In early May, he was expelled from there.
Party representatives stressed that on May 28 they made a joint statement about the situation with Alexei Kovalev. Then the people's deputy voluntarily stayed in the temporarily occupied territories of Kherson and communicated with the Russian military. The people's deputies did not receive adequate explanations from him, so they decided to expel him from the faction.
Then they turned to the Prosecutor General Irina Venediktova and the voice of the SBU Ivan Bakanov with a demand to initiate a criminal case.
After the so-called ” meeting “, which Kovalev held with Kiriyenko, the faction received sufficient evidence that he had betrayed the Ukrainian people. That is why they made several decisions:
- appeal to the Verkhovna Rada with an appeal to deprive Kovalev of the mandate of people's deputyin accordance with the current legislation
- apply to the Prosecutor General's Office and the SBU with a call to transfer the Kovalev case to court as soon as possible, providing, in particular, for the confiscation of his assets and property in accordance with the current legislation.
- apply to the judicial authorities with a call to consider the Kovalev case as soon as possible, determining the degree of punishment according to the law.
The Servant of the People stressed that traitors and collaborators cannot represent the people in the Verkhovna Rada. They must answer before the law. The party is convinced that Kovalev has long lost his conscience, honor and dignity.
Recall that earlier law enforcement sources reported that a case could be opened against Kovalev for collaborationism.
