The government under the leadership of Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico has repeatedly stated that it will not participate in military assistance to our state. However, obviously, the Slovaks themselves do not support such a position.

Fico previously constantly advocated for the cessation of military assistance to Ukraine, and supported only humanitarian support. The Slovaks decided to demonstrate their solidarity with Ukraine and collected almost 4 million euros for our state for ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine within the framework of the Czech initiative.

Collected almost 4 million euros

According to data published on the website of the Ammunition for Ukraine initiative, in Slovakia, concerned citizens collected 3.9 million in just 12 days euros for military aid to Ukraine.

At first, activists planned to collect 250 thousand euros and join the Czech initiative to purchase ammunition for Kyiv, despite the decision of the government of Robert Fico not to provide military assistance to our state. Subsequently, the figure grew to a million euros.

However, they managed to collect even more. It is known that as of now the number of those who helped our state has reached more than 60 thousand people. This fundraising started on April 16.

The campaign is the result of the combined efforts of several organizations and activists with many years of experience in helping Ukraine, in particular, Mier Ukrajine, Darček pre Putina, Donio and All4Ukraine .

What is known about the Czech initiative: the main thing
