Russian military commissariats have begun using full-time psychologists to force residents of temporarily occupied Crimea to go fight against Ukraine.

According to the human rights activist, psychologists were given the task of using their special knowledge and skills to convince reservists to sign a contract to serve in Russia's war with Ukraine. Databases of conscripts and reservists are used in this process.

– Now, depending on how successfully they complete this task, they are awarded or not awarded a monthly bonus. Psychologists are the best at selecting the right motivation for a specific person, but there are general messages, – the human rights activist noted.
He said that his sources in the military registration and enlistment offices said that among the common arguments are salaries at the level of top managers in Crimea, as well as the fact that the war will supposedly end soon, but the status and benefits will remain for life.
It is noted that it is becoming increasingly difficult for the Russian Federation to meet “norms” for recruiting contract soldiers in occupied Crimea.
– In Crimea, 13% of the Crimean Tatar population, Crimean Tatars practically do not sign contracts, with rare exceptions. Plus, there is a very large percentage of pensioners in Crimea. So the military registration and enlistment offices have to involve psychologists in order to fulfill the plan at any cost, – the human rights activist summed up.
