A deserter was discovered in the Belarusian army. The soldier left the military unit and went towards the border with Lithuania.
This fact was reported by the Belarusian Ministry of Defense. The incident took place today, May 26, according to Channel 24.

A search has begun for a man who escaped from one of the military units. It was the results of this search that showed that he went towards the Lithuanian border.
The Belarusian side even notified the Lithuanian border guards about this.
A check has already been scheduled on the fact of flight.
At the same time, on May 26, the self-proclaimed president of the country Alexander Lukashenko visited the Ministry of Defense of Belarus. A meeting on the so-called military security issues was planned there.
Also, military exercises will begin in Belarusian Brest today. The region is located just 60 kilometers from the border with Ukraine.
Training of Belarusian troops and the situation on the border
- The Ukrainian General Staff on the morning of May 26 reported that Belarusian troops were training near the border with Ukraine, there was a threat of missile strikes. In the Volyn and Polesye directions, the commanders conduct command-staff and mobilization training with the personnel of the military units of the Belarusian army. In addition, now the Belarusians have to eliminate the consequences of keeping the occupying Russian army.
