Offensive actions of the Russians in a number of directions on May 9
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the enemy continues to carry out offensive actions in the East of Ukraine in order to establish full control over the territory of Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as the maintenance of a land corridor between these territories with the temporarily occupied Crimea.
The greatest activity of Russians was recorded in Slobozhansky and Donetsk directions, however, there remains a high probability of enemy missile strikes on civilian and military infrastructure throughout Ukraine.
A battle is underway for the village of Rubizhne in the Severodonetsk direction. The enemy is trying to improve his tactical position, capture the city and create favorable conditions for a further offensive in the directions of the settlements of Liman and Severodonetsk. At the same time, the Russians made a unsuccessful assault attemptsettlement of Voevodovka – unsuccessfully withdrew to the previously occupied positions.
At the same time, in the Limansk direction, the enemy is further trying to combat to advance in the areas of the settlements of Aleksandrovka and Shandrigolovo. In the Bakhmut direction, he unsuccessfully fought near the settlement of Toshkovka.
In the Avdeevsky direction, Russian troops are trying to improve their tactical position near the settlements of Novoselovka, Novoselovka Vtoraya and Verkhnetoretskoye. Combat operations continue .
Enemy units are also being regrouped to prepare for further offensive operations in the Novopavlovsk, Zaporozhye, Yuzhnobuzhsky and Tauride directions. The enemy is increasing the systems of fire destruction and air defense.
In order to prevent the transfer of units of the Ukrainian defense forces to other directions and in order to tie them down, the Russians are carrying out demonstrative actions in the Yuzhnobuzh and Tauride directions.
