An unfortunate incident occurred in the German city of Aachen on March 4th. In one of the local hospitals, several people were taken hostage.

Now the scene of events has been cordoned off by the police and fire service. According to preliminary data, the person who took patients and hospital workers hostage may be armed.

The German publication Bild noted that the area of ​​the Luisenhospital hospital is surrounded by heavily armed police in helmets, protective vests and machine guns, and the streets near the building are blocked. Special forces from Cologne are being sent to the site.

The police noted that an unknown woman set fire to the pyrotechnics, which caused heavy smoke to form in the hospital building. Several fire departments are on the scene.

She then barricaded herself in the sick room – it is unclear whether there were other people in the room. Police cannot yet say who exactly the gunman was at the hospital or who he was threatening. It is also unclear whether there were any injuries and whether the suspect is making demands.

It is worth noting that Luisenhospital is a Protestant hospital with 378 beds and twelve specialized departments. The hospital employs about 1,600 workers.

• Loud shots were heard in Berlin on March 3rd. The movement of the city train was also temporarily stopped. It was part of a police operation to find Red Army Faction terrorists in the city.
• During the operation, police surrounded a trailer park and shots were fired to open the locked door of one of the vehicles.
• As a result, two men were detained, their identities are now being established. No one was hurt.
• It is worth noting that the “Red Army Faction” was a German left-wing terrorist organization of urban partisans operating in Germany and West Berlin. The terrorist organization is responsible for killing more than 30 people and injuring more than 200 people.
