After the plane crash in Brovary, President Volodymyr Zelensky was asked if he was worried about his own safety. However, the head of state did not change his position.

During a speech at a forum in Davos, Zelensky stressed that he was not worried about security, Channel 24 reports.

I'm not worried. Nothing to say. Nothing has changed, we need ammunition, and I'm in no hurry,” Zelensky said.

The politician added that today's plane crash in Brovary is not an accident. He stressed that every death is the outcome of Russia's war against Ukraine.

In conclusion, the President called on the audience to honor the memory of the dead with a minute of silence.

Plane crash in Brovary: what is known

  • On the morning of January 18, a State Emergency Service helicopter crashed in Brovary, flying to the Kharkiv region. There were 9 people on board, including the top leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
  • The Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, his first deputy Yevgeny Yenin and the Secretary of State of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yury Lubkovich were killed.
  • The total number of victims was 14 people, including 1 child. 25 people were injured, 11 of them were children. Search and rescue operations have been completed.
