The SBU and the military of the 95th Airborne Assault Brigade created a fake account of an “officer” of the Russian 810th Marine Brigade on the social network “VKontakte”. Through this account they send coordinates to Russian servicemen for surrender.

Reports 24 Kanal with reference to the Airborne Assault Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Thanks to this initiative, it was possible to replenish the exchange fund.

How Russians surrender via VKontakte

The SBU military counterintelligence service, together with fighters from the 95th airborne assault brigade, created a “virtual commander” account on the Russian social network VKontakte.

Thanks to this account, it was possible to replenish the exchange fund, since soldiers from the 810th Russian Marine Brigade willingly surrender via this platform.

The published video shows Ukrainian paratroopers and SBU officers exchanging messages with Russian soldiers via a fake account of an “officer” of the 810th brigade, sending coordinates for surrender. One of the Russians thanked the Ukrainians for saving his life.

“I'm still young. I thought that I'm not ready to die yet. At night, I went to the coordinates, met the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the guys from military counterintelligence. Thank you for leaving me alive,” the Russian said in the video.
