Videos and photos from the crash site have already been distributed online. They show documents, including a Russian passport.
On Monday, October 21, a cargo plane carrying Russians was shot down in Sudan.

The plane crashed in Darfur, where fighting is currently ongoing between the regular army and the paramilitary organization “Rapid Reaction Force” (RSF). Russians are investigating all the circumstances of the incident.
Meanwhile, a video of the downed plane is being published online.
According to the Russian Telegram channel Mash, one of the victims is the chief engineer of Airline Transport Incorporation FZC, Viktor Granov. Granov was previously the founder of the closed joint-stock company “Pilot Airlines”.
The second Russian on board the downed Il-76 was an aircraft engineer from Bashkiria. The exact number of victims and fatalities is unknown, but the Il-76 crew usually consists of 5 people.
As reported by the Sudan War Monitor, RSF fighters likely mistakenly shot down the Il-76 at around 4 a.m. local time, mistaking it for a Sudanese military bomber.
Earlier, the WSJ wrote article that Ukrainian special forces are fighting in Sudan against rebels and Russian forces.
