Joe Biden rejected China's proposed “peace plan”. The US President noted that its implementation will only benefit Russia.
This statement was made by the American leader on February 24. It should be noted that this plan assumes the importance of supporting “the reciprocal steps of Moscow and Kyiv in favor of the speedy resumption of direct dialogue.” The “plan” contains 12 points.
What Biden said about China's “peace plan”

How Zelensky reacted to China's peace plan
China announced its “peace plan” before February 24, 2023. But already on the anniversary of the invasion, he published 12 of them providing for:
- rejection of the Cold War mentality;
- cessation of hostilities;
- respect for the sovereignty of all countries;
- resumption of peace talks;
- resolution of the humanitarian crisis;
- protection of civilians and prisoners of war;
- security of nuclear power plants;
- reduction of strategic risks;
- promotion of grain exports ;
- end “unilateral sanctions”;
- maintain the stability of industrial and supply chains;
- promote post-war reconstruction.
The President of Ukraine at a big press conference on the anniversary of the invasion said that he partially agrees with China's “peace plan”. After all, there are points that you can work with.
It seems to me that this was not a Chinese peace plan – this is not a resolution and not a declaration, this is not an infrastructure for something . It seems to me that China has shown its opinion on this matter. China has started talking about Ukraine, which I think is very good. A question that follows words, Zelensky said.
He noted that there are also points with which he does not agree. The President of Ukraine is sure that the whole world will not agree. However, Zelensky noted that:
- our task is to gather everyone in order to isolate some;
- only the state on whose territory the war is taking place can be the subject of initiatives;
- Ukraine has already proposed a formula for peace.
The President of Ukraine also noted that he wants to believe that China will not supply weapons to Russia.
“This is point number 1 . I am doing everything to prevent this. Otherwise, there are risks that there will be a third world war,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Moreover, the Ukrainian leader said that he seeks to meet personally with Xi Jinping. After all, Ukraine and China are interested in maintaining relations.
