Monument to Bulgakov in Kyiv/Politeka
I am writing this post only because Pushkin and Bulgakov are among the opponents of wear conscious people who are for the dismantling of Vatutin and Shchors, but do not understand what is wrong with Pushkin. If you explain, then often this opinion can change. So I will explain calmly, but for the first and last time. You can share it with doubting friends.
Black mark
Pushkin, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Lermontov, put your last name in Ukraine – this is not a heritage of world culture, but a black mark from Russia .
Putting Pushkins in every city, the empire wrote in our territories “here was (is) Rashka.” It has never been to 90% of the cities where today it is cast in granite. This is how Russia designated its cultural and linguistic space.
If Pushkin stands in your city, this is not a monument to a great poet and cultural figure. This is the mark of the “Russian world”.
He stands in every Russian city, wrote in Russian and for Russians, is a Russian writer, so what is the difference between Moscow and Kyiv for a Russian soldier?

What is wrong with Bulgakov
Bulgakov – there too. Yes, he is from Kiev. Lived and worked here. But what did he do and for whom? You can treat his literature as you like, read and keep a library at home, but do not forget that these are the works of a Ukrainophobe and a Russophile. Buzina and Medvedchuk are also Ukrainians, but no one is going to erect monuments to them.

I advise all fans to re-read The White Guard and think about what they would do with such an author today. Kyiv does not need monuments to people who denied our Independence and ridiculed the language. If Bulgakov lived in 2022, today he would write about bloodthirsty Nazis.
These are just two vivid examples, but everything written is applicable to any Russian artist.
