Ursula von der Leyen is convinced that Russia cannot win the war v. Ukraine/AP

The head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, stressed that Russia simply has no chance of winning the war against Ukraine. And all because the military of the aggressor countries do not understand at all what they are fighting for.

She stressed that she would not “put on Russia.” Like, the advancement of the military of the aggressor country in the East of Ukraine still does not mean anything.

The Russians do not understand what they are fighting for

First of all, she noted the data shared by military experts. Ursula von der Leyen stressed that Russian fighters, although advancing, are much slower. This indicates that they are facing significant resistance from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. And this, the head of the European Commission is sure, creates even more problems for Russia.

I would not bet in Russia at all. On the contrary… Ukrainians know what they are fighting for. They are motivated. And the Russians (military – Channel 24) have no idea what they are fighting for, because they don’t even see the point in this war,” she stressed.

Ukraine’s allies are the only ones

During the G7 summit held in Germany, Ursula von der Leyen expressed a clear position. She noted that Ukrainian allies remain united.

“We have introduced six packages of tough sanctions against Russia in record time. Indeed, it is not easy for our member states, because they have to pay a certain price,” she noted she.

The head of the European Commission noted the presence of unity in the position regarding the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine. And it is demonstrated in all the decisions and actions that our allies have been taking for 4 months.

Ursula von der Leyen added that the corresponding unification of forces has pretty much stirred up Vladimir Putin. According to her, the Russian President never expected the EU to demonstrate unity and determination. But with his aggression, he literally forced the whole world to move from the stage of “deeply concerned” to those determined to resist and win.

Back to news | We are talking about a scenario in which Vladimir Putin will take part in it. In her opinion, this should definitely be used.

Since Russia is a member of the G20, its head may attend the summit. So the leaders of other states will have the opportunity to tell Vladimir Putin to his face what others think of him. They will also have the opportunity to personally express their condemnation of the war that the dictator unleashed in a neighboring state.
