“I was ready for such a scenario”: propagandist Shariy commented on his detention in Spain

The Spanish police detained the pro-Russian blogger Anatoly Shariy the day before. He also claims that he was ready for such a development of events.

The detention of Anatoly Shariy became another reason for the propagandist to be talked about in Ukraine. After all, because of his pro-Russian propaganda, he was blocked in Ukraine. Therefore, it became more difficult for him to convey Kremlin fakes to Ukrainians.

The Spanish police detained him in the city of Tarragona, where he was hiding from the authorities. There he bought a villa for himself.

The detention took place at the request of Ukrainian law enforcement officers. According to local media, the operation to detain him was developed for several weeks.

Anatoly Shariy was then taken to court. However, the local court decided not to send him to jail, but released him. True, he took away his passport, so Shariy will not be able to go anywhere. And he ordered to appear in court every 15 days.

Now the Ukrainian side must provide the Spanish prosecutor's office with evidence of the charges against him in Ukraine. Here he is accused of treason and inciting hatred. The Ukrainian special services state that there is reason to believe that Anatoly Shariy acted on the orders of foreign structures when he carried out illegal activities to the detriment of the national security of Ukraine in the information sphere.

Based on this evidence, the Spanish authorities will decide on the extradition of Anatoly Shariy to Ukraine, where a court will await him.

For now, Anatoly Shariy is distributing comments to Russian propagandists in Spain. And he convinces there that he allegedly knew everything in advance.

“Everything happened one on one, not even 99%, but 100%, as we thought, as we planned,” Anatoly Shariy convinces. However, he decided not to specify exactly how Shariy “planned” his detention.

It was not without Shariy re-reading everything that people think about him in Ukraine. Among them is the comment of People's Deputy Fyodor Venislavsky about whether Russia wants to exchange Shariy. Despite the fact that Shariy has been spreading Russian propaganda in Ukraine for years, for some reason he does not really want to go to Russia.
