A personnel officer of one of the territorial defense brigades was exposed as taking a bribe. According to the investigation, the suspect demanded unlawful benefits totaling 1,230,000 hryvnias.
The personnel officer wanted to make money by transferring conscripts to the rear. For this, the suspect demanded 75,000 hryvnias from each fighter. However, he did not have time to earn money – he was exposed and detained by the State Bureau of Investigation.
For 75,000 hryvnias each, he promised 14 servicemen to transfer them to a new training center based on the brigade, as well as to ensure the possibility of their movement from the front line to the rear, the Office of the Prosecutor General noted.
The personnel officer promised to assist one of the servicemen in not bringing him to administrative and criminal liability. He estimated these services at 180 thousand hryvnias.
The State Bureau of Investigation detained the suspect after receiving an unlawful benefit in the amount of UAH 1,230,000. During searches at the place of work, registration and residence of the detainee, the lists of the brigade and drafts of initiative letters of agreement for the transfer of military personnel to the training center were seized.

Detainee faces up to 12 years in prison
The personnel officer was informed of the suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits. The court has already chosen a preventive measure for him – detention with the possibility of bail.
The man faces imprisonment for up to 12 years with confiscation of property.
