Speaker of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko on the air of the Rada channel told the details about the Belarusian border guard who fled to Ukraine, Channel 24 reports.
According to him, a few days ago, a violator was detained, making his way from Belarus to Ukraine. It is reported that the man was detained by a border patrol in Volyn.
After the arrest, he noted that he was a Belarusian border guard and was serving in the Brest border group,” said Demchenko.
As the speaker of the State Tax Service noted, the Belarusian border guard said that he had decided to commit a violation in order to join Ukraine in the war against Russia .
Also, the Belarusian border guard noted that he had a circle of like-minded people. With one of these, he fled to Ukraine, but they were discovered in the border Belarusians and pursued with shooting.
Only one managed to cross the border with Ukraine, the other remained in the Belarusian.
Andrei Demchenko said that they were checking the words of the detainee. According to him, in Belarus, commenting on the escape of the border guard, they said that these were fakes.
The speaker of the State Tax Service of Ukraine added that after checking the Belarusian border guard, it would be possible to talk in more detail about the personality of the detainee and his further fate.
