The fight against corruption is one of the key tasks of the defense department.
This was stated by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov at the annual general meeting of the European Business Association.
“During the war, I treat corruption as terrorism,” he emphasized.
The Minister of Defense noted that another important task of the Ukrainian defense department is the localization of production, including weapons and military equipment.

In his opinion, the Ukrainian defense industry should provide the army with equipment, ammunition and technological solutions in a much larger proportion.
Umerov noted that with regard to non-lethal procurement, the defense department is already focusing on Ukrainian manufacturers – it is important that they are able to guarantee quality and deliver on time.
