In Kremenchug, a four-day-old baby was kidnapped from a perinatal center by a transsexual man.

This was reported by the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Poltava region.

However, operatives determined that the attacker was actually a transsexual man.

After his arrest, the 25-year-old kidnapper admitted that he dared to commit the crime because he really wanted a child who would never be born to him.

At the moment everything is fine with the child. Law enforcement officers have already returned the newborn girl to her mother at the perinatal center, noted the head of the GUNP in the Poltava region, Evgeniy Rogachev.

Meanwhile, police investigators are preparing a petition to inform the attacker of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 146 (kidnapping of a minor, resulting in grave consequences) and choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

For kidnapping a baby, a man can spend up to 10 years behind bars.

In addition, a legal assessment will be given to the actions of officials of the perinatal center (proceedings have been opened under Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (official negligence leading to grave consequences).

Recall that a four-day-old baby was abducted from the postpartum room of the perinatal center on July 14.

Local law enforcement officers and all concerned searched for the newborn child for three days.
