Never wore a prom dress, – a Kharkiv woman about her daughter, who finished 11th grade during war

I was evacuated from Dergachi, Kharkov region, to Ivano-Frankivsk region with my daughter Yana Alekseenko. The war took her husband away, and her daughter's father, they were left without a home.

For a child, the year turned out to be very difficult. A woman spoke about the last class at school, final exams, the war, the loss of a father for her daughter as part of the OWN project for Channel 24.

Why did her daughter choose her native university

According to Yana, her daughter really wants to return home. She did not want to enter the university in Ivano-Frankivsk.

The girl believes that no matter how many they are there, they will still return home, they will have to transfer.

Therefore, she did not even consider Ivano-Frankivsk for entry. We applied for admission to Lviv, Chernivtsi, but the main universities are Kharkiv. In the end, we managed to enter Kharkov. The training is about to begin, – says Yana.

Her child, due to the war, could not finish school as usual and play graduation.

“She was never able to wear a prom dress “Just before the start of the war, we bought it, paid everything, but the dress remained in the store. They refused to return the money to us. In the end, the dress was changed to another and sent here by mail. But there was no opportunity to dress it,” she shared woman.
