Andrzej Duda spoke about the possibility of sending the Polish military to the war in Ukraine. The President of Poland expressed the hope that Russia will not lead to a situation where it will have to make such a decision.

At the same time, the Polish leader noted that Russia should not win the war in Ukraine, as this will create a huge threat to Europe and the whole world. Duda stated this at a joint press conference with Slovak President Peter Pellegrini, reports 24 Channel.

What Duda said about sending Polish troops to Ukraine

The Polish President said his country should refrain from deploying its soldiers to Ukraine now. According to the Polish leader, such a step could lead to a NATO member being drawn into war.

According to Duda, Poland’s position is to send military aid to our state, but not station our soldiers there.

We hope that we will never have to send our soldiers to Ukraine to fight there in defense of the Republic of Poland or NATO. Therefore, I hope that there will be no such need, that Russia will not lead to such a situation,” said the Polish leader.

Duda also noted that Poland absolutely does not want to participate in the war Russia against Ukraine, and also for the Polish military to fight in our state.

Previously, the Dutch government did not rule out participation in a coalition to train the military in Ukraine . However, according to the country's Minister of Defense, there is no final decision on this matter yet.
