— This is the first time that a person did not know, according to him, that the bridge was destroyed. She arrived in Oleshki, spent the night there, and then decided to go, no one stopped her along the way. Our military, who control this perimeter, check people and do not shoot right away. If someone went towards Russia, they would 100% be shot. It was here that the woman realized that she needed to show her passport, — to the camera (drone, — Ed.). he noted.
The Ukrainian military claims that the woman did not know about the destruction of the Antonovsky Bridge, which is why she walked towards it so confidently.
The operation to evacuate the Ukrainian woman lasted about six hours and was also very dangerous.
— Of course, our guys escorted her, then delivered her and evacuated her to Kherson by boat. Now all checks are being carried out on the woman — this is the first thing to do. She's fine. And in most cases, people return through the Sumy checkpoint, if necessary, or in a large circle from abroad — Georgia, Türkiye, Poland and through Transcarpathia, — Tolokonnikov explained.
