Czech President Petr Pavel spoke about Russia's ambitions in the international arena. Thus, he said that Russia could easily take over several EU countries if it were allowed to do so.

The Czech head also noted that the aggressive country now poses the most significant and immediate threat to European security. According to Pavel, Russia also threatens its allies in the North Atlantic Alliance.

Pavel spoke about Russia's ambitions

In a recent statement, the President of the Czech Republic emphasized the clear message of Russian dictator Vladimir Putin's regime to fight against the “collective West.” President Pavel argues that if there were no restrictions, there would be no limit to Russia's imperial aspirations.

If this is allowed, Russia will not hesitate to take over the regions of the former Eastern Bloc, he emphasized.

In addition, the head of the Czech Republic noted that now a great danger from Russia threatens countries that are not currently members of the European Union or NATO.

“That is why it is very important to support states such as Moldova, Georgia or Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.

He also stressed that Russia's actions sparked a large-scale military conflict in Europe, which led to significant human suffering and significant destruction in Ukraine.

The Czech President also noted that Russia, which is a permanent member of the UN Security Council, has launched an “imperialist, bloody campaign against a sovereign country.” He stressed that the scale of war crimes that Russia is committing in Europe is unprecedented in the last 80 years, with the exception of the terrible massacre in Srebrenica.

Pavel noted the importance of constant support for Ukraine in the political, economic, humanitarian and military spheres. In addition, he emphasized the significant role of politicians in ensuring effective strategic communication.

Personally, at home, I repeatedly explain that in Ukraine our own security is at stake,” he said.

At the same time, President Pavel acknowledged that there are differences in views with him among various world leaders. During his short tenure as president, he engaged in discussions with several leaders who held opposing views on Russia.

“My goal is not to judge them, but to listen and explain how current events are connected to the historical experience of our country,” he emphasized.

He concluded by warning that Russia's aggressive actions could have far-reaching consequences. In his view, if Russia gains any benefit from its aggression, it will likely further whet its appetite for escalating war in Europe. In addition, such behavior has the potential to set a dangerous precedent, encouraging other countries to resort to military force to protect their own interests.
