The Hungarian government is still blocking the allocation of the eighth tranche to Ukraine totaling €500 million from the European Peace Fund. From it, member states of the European Union are compensated for the supply of weapons for the military Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was stated by Radio Liberty's editor for European affairs, Rikard Jozwiak. The corresponding issue was discussed at a meeting in Brussels by the heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the European Union member countries.
— Another discussion about Ukraine in Brussels among the 27 foreign ministers of the European Union. And there is still a blockade on the eighth tranche (€500 million) of EU military assistance to Ukraine,” the journalist noted.
It is worth noting that Hungary has been blocking European Union aid for Ukraine for several months due to the fact that OTP Bank was included in the list of war sponsors.
