The Rada extended martial law for another 90 days
The Verkhovna Rada extended the martial law in Ukraine for another 90 days — until November 11.
People's deputies Yaroslav Zheleznyak and Alexey Goncharenko reported this.
— The Verkhovna Rada extended martial law for another 90 days — until November 11, — wrote Goncharenko in his Telegram channel.
He noted that 339 people's representatives voted for this.
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak also reported that the parliament supported the extension of general mobilization for 90 days — from August 12 to November 9.
This decision was voted for by 338 deputies.
Now the documents must be signed by the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
Stavka and the Ukrainian missile program
Ukraine is working on a domestic missile program to reduce dependence on missile supplies from partners, including for air defense, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said after holding the Supreme Commander-in-Chief Headquarters.
According to the head of state, during the Headquarters they heard a report from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky and the Chief of the General Staff Anatoly Bargilevich.
We talked about changes in the operational situation, as well as forecasts, further actions and staffing of brigades for timely rotation.
— Much attention was paid to the ability to strike behind the front line. We analyzed the effectiveness of our various types of drones, as well as the tactics of the Russian army regarding drones. We assessed the effectiveness of electronic warfare and other methods of combating UAVs, — the president said.
Also during the Headquarters, the Ukrainian missile program was discussed.
— We are actively working to reduce dependence on missile supplies from partners, including for air defense, — Zelensky reported.
On this topic there were reports by the Minister for Strategic Industries of Ukraine Alexander Kamyshin, as well as First Deputy Minister of Defense Ivan Gavrilyuk and Deputy Prime Minister and Head of the Ministry of Digital Development Mikhail Fedorov.
The Rada was unable to vote for the ban on the UOC-MP
On July 23, during a session of the Verkhovna Rada, a number of deputies blocked the parliamentary rostrum and demanded consideration of a bill on the termination of the activities of the UOC (MP) in Ukraine. The corresponding draft law was not included in the agenda of the session, since a number of MPs, in particular, from the Servant of the People and OPZZh factions, voted against introducing the document.
Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk subsequently stated that the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada would gather for the next session when they had worked out the final version of the draft law on the termination of the activities of the UOC MP in Ukraine.
— As soon as the working group completes the draft law on banning religious organizations associated with Russia and presents it to the conciliation council, we will immediately set the date for the next meeting, he said.
The next plenary session of the Verkhovna Rada is expected to take place between August 19 and 25.
At the same time, MP from the European Solidarity faction Oleksiy Goncharenko writes that according to the schedule, the next session in August was planned for the 20th.
— But, firstly, this schedule is absolutely conditional and has not been officially approved by anyone. Secondly, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada can convene a session at any time, — he notes.

Hungary blocks EU funding for Ukraine
Hungary intends to systematically block the EU military aid financing program for Ukraine in the amount of €6.5 billion.
Budapest made this decision against the backdrop of Kyiv’s ban on the transit of Russian oil to Hungary, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó said in an interview with ATV Hírado.
— I made it clear that until this issue is resolved by Ukraine, everyone should forget about the payment of €6.5 billion in compensation for arms supplies from the European Peacekeeping Program.
Because what will be the payment of €6.5 billion that we facilitate while Ukraine threatens the security of our energy supply? — the diplomat thinks.
Szijjártó noted that the European Commission should exert significant pressure on Kyiv. On the Budapest side, the situation is very transparent, he believes.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kuleba arrived in China
Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmitry Kuleba arrived in China at the invitation of Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. His visit will last July 23-25.
Subsequently it became known that despite Russia’s occupation of Ukrainian territories, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in negotiations with his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba during his visit to the PRC, will call for a ceasefire and a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
— The Chinese side will continue to stand on the side of peace, support the strengthening of consensus in the international community, and jointly seek real ways to resolve the “crisis in Ukraine” (this is how Russian aggression against Ukraine is called in China, — Ed.) by political methods, — says Mao.
