The existence of this bunker was kept secret for decades.
A secret nuclear bunker built by the then leadership during the Cold War in Europe has been opened to the public in Denmark.
Creepy photos Express.
The bunker, called Regan West, was built at NATO's insistence, unbeknownst to most, between 1963 and 1968. Nestled under the trees in the heart of the Rold forest in the northern part of the country.
It has a nondescript entrance – a concrete building that has been covered in moss for decades, and an ordinary gray door, which helped distract the interesting ones and keep the bunker secret. The bunker has more than 230 rooms that can accommodate about 350 people.
Among the most fascinating features of Regan West are the curved and ribbed walls designed by experts to slow down the pressure wave created by a nuclear explosion.
It is noted that during the Soviet nuclear tests and the Cuban Missile Crisis, the bunker was equipped to provide security for the Danish authorities, including members of the government, civil servants and the royal family for 30 days.
Over ten years later, about 40% of Regan West was opened to the public under the name Koldrigsmuseet REGAN Vest – Regan West Cold War Museum.
Let us recall that the Estonian Minister of Defense expressed his opinion on what Putin really wants and whether he is ready to use nuclear weapons.
