Most of Mariupol's defenders have been in captivity for more than 100 days. Their relatives live with hopes and expectations to finally see their heroes.
Channel 24 journalists asked their native defenders what they would like to say to their loved ones now if they had at least a minute of conversation.
A poignant appeal
Anna, the bride of one of the fighters, poignantly turned to her future husband. She stressed that Ukraine is waiting for its heroes, they are fighting for them.
I love you more than anything in the world, I live for you. Remember, this will not last forever, – said the girl.
She said that everything is fine with her family. Everyone constantly asks for a protector and says hello.
“I already have so many plans that we should do. Thoughts are always next to you. You are the best thing that happened to me in life. Hugs through hundreds of kilometers. I love you and am infinitely proud of you,” Anna summed up.
40 days after the tragedy in Olenovka
- On the night of July 29, on the territory of the former correctional colony No. 120 in Yelenovka, which is now used as a place for holding Ukrainian prisoners of war, there was a strong explosion.
- The captured defenders of Mariupol were in the room. According to Russian sources, about 40 Ukrainians were killed. Meanwhile, not a single “employee” of the colony was injured.
- The conclusions of the international intelligence community InformNapalm indicate that Russia could have carried out the terrorist attack in Olenovka with a thermobaric weapon.
