There are serious problems with electricity in some regions of Ukraine. Emergency blackouts are also possible in the Lviv region.

To date, the energy system of Ukraine is unified. Therefore, its damage can lead to a significant power shortage.

Emergency shutdowns may be introduced in the Lviv region

According to Lvivoblenergo, January 31 in the Lviv region, the schedule of hourly shutdowns continues to operate. This is due to the establishment of consumption limits from 474 megawatts minimum at night to 514 megawatts maximum during the day, which is about half of the needs of consumers in the region.

In case of exceeding the limits, emergency shutdowns can be used. The establishment of limits is the result of repeated shelling by Russian invaders of energy facilities that cannot operate in pre-war mode, the department noted.

Pay attention! You can find out the schedule and your shutdown group on the Lvivoblenergo website ” in the section “Why there is no light”.

“Lvovoblenergo” was fined

The National Commission, which carries out state regulation in the fields of energy and utilities, fined “Lvovoblenergo” for 85 thousand hryvnia. This happened because the company allegedly did not update the information on its website.

The company reacted to the fine and stated that one of the pages of this site has been operating since August 2016. Since then, consumers have been able to find out the latest information about why there is no electricity.

They also noted that information about outages is automatically displayed on the site thanks to technical support.
