The military analyst explained that even if Trump goes to negotiations, offers the Russian dictator quality conditions, Putin refuses and then the US president decides to provide Ukraine with more military aid, this will still not be enough. For such decisions, it is not only Trump's political will that depends.

The United States is not Russia, not a dictatorial regime. The president's will will not be enough to implement some of his plans. Even if Trump says to send 1,000 Abrams tanks to Ukraine, there will be a million political and bureaucratic reasons why this may be impossible, Matveyev explained.

Accordingly, it will be very difficult and time-consuming to destroy this process. In addition, the issue of additional aid to Ukraine in the form of money and weapons will become important, as well as the issue of Russia's cooperation with Iran, North Korea and other allies.

According to the military analyst, the world is not working hard enough on the issue of Putin's income, earnings from oil, the shadow fleet and the supply of various elements to Russia: from spare parts to electronics for the military-industrial complex.

We need to limit these supplies, limit the export of oil and various other resources on which Putin makes money. Russians do not see this income, they are getting poorer. This money goes to the military budget. Thanks to external income, Putin can balance this, – Matveyev emphasized.

Russian propaganda is now successfully working to influence Russians. They are told that, “even if there is no chocolate, even if the iPhone has become more expensive, you can still live, you have to endure it somehow.” Russians have enough for basic products, so they are happy.

According to the military analyst, the Russian dictator will then have a choice: take all the money from the people for the war, or stop it so that the Russians do not starve. However, for now he has no problems with this thanks to his partners.

There are many gray areas regarding sanctions that will directly affect Putin's income. There are also many people who can be restricted, that is, personal sanctions can be imposed. The US can become the driving force behind all these sanctions, this country has sufficient influence, – Matveyev noted.
