When drawing up a power of attorney, the following points should be taken into account:
- Powers of attorney related to the disposal of property must be entered into the Unified Register of Powers of Attorney (URP).
- It is not recommended to rely on general powers of attorney, as they may be rejected due to the lack of specific wording.
- Before contacting a diplomatic institution, it is recommended to draft a power of attorney in electronic form.
- It is important to clearly define what powers you are willing to entrust to another person.
How to issue a power of attorney abroad for Ukrainians: list of documents
To issue a power of attorney at the consulate, you you will need:
- Passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
- Identification code.
- Details of the person for whom the power of attorney is issued (full name, passport/ID).
- The exact list of powers that you want to grant.
- Payment of the consular fee.
To issue a power of attorney with a local notary, you will need:
- Passport of a citizen Ukraine.
