Citizens who host migrants for free can receive monetary compensation for utilities. The Ministry of Justice told how to do this in an infographic.
The amount of compensation is 14.77 hryvnia per day per person. In order to receive funds, there are several prerequisites.
Prerequisites for receiving compensation
- no debt for housing and communal services from the owner of the housing;
- free accommodation for IDPs;
- the displaced person (-s) should not receive monthly IDP assistance to cover living expenses, taking into account those , which is to pay for housing and communal services (according to resolution 505).
If all conditions are met, the owner of the housing must submit an appropriate application to the executive committee of the local council about the IDPs living in it. The information must contain the full name of the settlers and the data of identification documents.
