How to Apply Online for Canada Visa 2024: Step by Step Instructions
Ukrainians can download the application for a visa to Canada, fill it out, print the completed form and bring it to the Canada Visa Application Center themselves.

You can also submit your application online on the Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) website. The form can only be completed in English and French. To successfully obtain a visa, you must correctly and accurately fill out all points of the application form.
In order to apply online for a visa to Canada, you must follow the following procedure:
- Go to the official website of the organization, to do this, write the name of the Cuaet program in the Google search window and follow the link.
- On the application form you must answer questions and select the required item. In the first paragraph, select Find out about new assistance measures for people affected by the Russian invasion.
- Select Apply for CUAET. You also need to scroll down the document and scan the first QR code.
- Next you need to register. To do this, indicate your email and duplicate it in the next window.
- Click Get code, then copy it and click on the green button below to continue registration.
- After that, paste the copied code into the first window, then create a password and duplicate it in the next window.
- Fill in your Last Name and First Name in English and select the code and phone number of the country where you are located.
- A code will be sent to your email address, which you need to copy, enter into the form and click Confirm.
- After this, the email will be confirmed, then you need to click Login.
- If you wish, you can familiarize yourself with the general information and conditions of the portal and proceed to applying for a visa to Canada under the CUAET program.
To apply for a visa to Canada, you must prepare the following documents:

- internal and foreign passports (copies of all pages with marks);
- documents on education (copies of pages with marks);
- information about places of work over the past 10 years;
- travel information for 5 years;
- marriage and divorce certificate (copy);
- children's birth certificate (copy).
In order to apply for a child under 18 years of age, you must provide:
- a copy of each child's birth certificate along with their application;
- permission from the mother or father who is not traveling with the child, or documents confirming full custody of the child (if possible).
You can apply for a visa for one person or choose a group visa application for several people. In this case, a separate application is created for each group member.
To apply for a visa to Canada under the CUAET program, you must enter all the data that the program offers and answer questions (do you plan to work in Canada, what province do you plan to live in, etc.).
After submitting your application, you may be asked to provide biometric information: fingerprints and a photograph. This information will be in the form of an email with instructions required to provide biometric data. The email will also indicate how to schedule a time to provide biometric data.
If you do not receive such a letter, it means that you do not need to submit biometric data .
When your visa application has been approved, you will receive a decision letter and instructions on next steps. This could be instructions on the following issues:
- how to submit your passport to the nearest visa center;
- what to do if you don’t have a valid passport;
- how to travel to Canada if you receive a letter stating that you have been granted an e-visa and do not need to provide a passport.
Do not come to the visa center until representatives contact you.
Only after you receive your visa notification can you travel to Canada. Don't set off until you receive your documents.
