The other day, Donald Trump was shot at during a campaign rally. The media have now learned interesting circumstances surrounding the planning of the assassination attempt on the life of the current presidential candidate of the United States.

According to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Trump was shot by 20- year old Thomas Matthew Crooks from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania. It was noted that he fired from the roof of a manufacturing plant more than 119 meters from the stage on which the former US President was located.

For an hour before the assassination attempt, the shooter purchased fifty rounds of ammunition

As CNN writes, an American high-ranking law enforcement official, on condition of anonymity, said that the suspect in the attack on Donald Trump purchased 50 rounds of ammunition an hour before the assassination attempt in one of the local gun stores.

Furthermore, the publication also claims that Thomas Matthew Crooks was a member of a sports club with a 180-meter shooting range. Defense lawyer Robert Butey confirmed that Crooks was a member of the Clairton Sports Club, but said they were “unable to comment further” amid the investigation.

The club condemns the ridiculous act of violence that occurred. The club also expresses its sincere condolences to the Comperatore family (firefighter Corey Compatore, who was at the rally at the time of the assassination attempt – Channel 24) and prays for all victims, including the former president, Butey said.

The US Federal Bureau of Investigation is now treating the shooting at former President Donald Trump's campaign rally as attempted murder and a possible domestic terrorist attack. They note that at this stage of the investigation, the FBI believes that the attacker on Trump acted independently.
