Russia is shooting itself in the foot again

And we had the opportunity to talk to them immediately after the difficult and painful decision was made to limit consumption by 15% due to the high probability of cutting off Russian gas supplies this winter.

Russians in On the eve of this meeting of the EU energy ministers, they conveyed their greetings – first they announced the shutdown of another turbine at Nord Stream 1, and in the meantime staged a provocation at the entrance to the Ukrainian gas transportation system. The icing on the cake was the shelling of Zatoka, which finally destroyed faith in the ability of the Russians to comply with the agreements. As a result, prices jumped even more.

As a result, this prompted the ministers to decide that there was no alternative to reducing gas consumption. And we came with offers, not with requests.

Ukraine, your way out

Europe wants to reduce gas consumption by a significant amount – from 30 to 50 billion cubic meters. We can now export our electricity to the EU in an amount sufficient to replace up to 6 of them this year, and up to 8 billion next year.

The successful accession of Ukraine to the European energy network ENTSO-E, as well as the actual start of electricity exports, which we were able to start ahead of schedule thanks to the well-coordinated work of NPC Ukrenergo.

Ukrainian electricity can replace the generation capacity for which Europe uses expensive Russian gas. If the Europeans come forward and expand their export capacity, it will work in the interests of the security of the entire continent and allow us to earn a much-needed billion euros.
