Consequently, on July 26, the EU urgently decided to reduce gas consumption this winter. Moreover, they are already discussing a new package of sanctions regarding the gas embargo, although before that the Europeans did not want to take such a step. This was told by host Alexey Pechiy on the stream, which was broadcast on YouTube by Channel 24 .

According to him, along with the gas blackmail, the European Union was also enlightened. After all, they have frankly stated that this is not blackmail, but a trade war declared by Moscow.

In addition, the Russian Gazprom not only continued blackmailing Nord Stream 1, but is also trying to bring accidents in the Ukrainian gas transportation system. Therefore, Kyiv is confident that the only adequate response from Russia is to strike back.

The Russians no longer need the Siemens turbine

The EU tried to the last to appease the Kremlin so that they would not cut gas supplies, but as you and I know perfectly well, the more you make concessions to the bandit, the more impudent he becomes. It happened this time as well,” the journalist said.

The day before, on July 26, on the London Stock Exchange the price of gas in Europe broke records again. Now 1,000 cubic meters of gas in Europe costs $1,900, and at the beginning of yesterday the price was $1,735. And this is not the limit.

The reason for this rise in price was another blackmail by the Kremlin. Everyone remembers how Germany insisted on the return of the Siemens gas turbine to the Russians, which was being repaired in Canada, which Canada did not want to return due to sanctions.

“Ukraine has always opposed the return of this turbine, because it violated If you have already adopted such restrictions, then perhaps you should comply with them,” says Pechiy.

But the Kremlin still used this situation to blackmail Europe. As the Russian Gazprom said, the turbine was essential for the normal operation of Nord Stream 1.

Despite the fact that experts, and even the German Ministry of Energy, assured that the absence of this turbine did not affect for the operation of the gas pipeline, since it is a reserve and not involved in the work, the Kremlin decided to manipulate this fact by reducing gas supplies to Germany, first by 40%, and then by 60%.

This was very painful for Germany, which did not have time to fill its gas storage facilities, so the Scholz government began to practically beg Canada to return the turbine to Russia. Despite protests from Ukraine, the Canadians finally sent the turbine to Germany and from there it was supposed to fall into the hands of the Russians.

And when Canada said that it was returning the turbine, the very next day, July 11, Russia completely stopped pumping gas through Nord Stream 1, allegedly carrying out some kind of repair again,” the host emphasized.

Repairs were announced for 10 days, during which everyone thought whether Russia would resume at least some gas supply when this deadline ran out. Surprisingly, on July 21, she did it, but again, only at 40% of the full capacity of Nord Stream 1.

Then the Germans exhaled a little, but after 5 days, Russian Gazprom announced that From July 27, the volumes of gas pumped through Nord Stream 1 will be only 20% of the total capacity .
