In Ukraine, the relatives of a deceased serviceman or serviceman are provided with a one-time cash assistance (CAP) in the amount of UAH 15 million.
This was announced at a briefing in the Military Media Center by a representative of the Podolsky district Ekaterina Tishchenko.
The family receives the right to cash payments from the day of the death of a serviceman, after receiving a death certificate.
Who can receive assistance
The payment is distributed in equal shares to all recipients provided for by law, namely:
- parents;
- one of the spouses who did not remarry;
- children under the age of majority;
- children who are 18 years old and in full-time education;
- family members who are eligible for a survivor's pension.
How long does it take to apply
Each of the above persons is eligible for three years from the date of death military personnel to receive financial assistance. If she does not realize this opportunity during this time, then part of it will be distributed among other persons entitled to receive the EDP.
The amount of the EDP is UAH 15 million, is assigned and paid in equal installments to all persons entitled to it, upon their personal application or the application of their representatives.
At the first stage, this is 1/5 of the assigned amount of the EDP, the remainder 4/5 is paid monthly, in equal hours over the next 40 months.
Procedure for applying for assistance
To assign a payment, family members must apply to the RTCC and the SP, regardless of the place of registration and write handwritten application.
Family members must attach copies of the following documents to the application:
- passport or ID passport with a certificate of residence registration;
- tax card ;
- notification of death;
- documents confirming family ties with the deceased;
- death certificate of the deceased;
- medical death certificate or a certificate of cause of death;
- certificate of non-conviction of the person submitting the application.
In addition, for representatives of minor children of the deceased, you must also add the decision of the local state administration or court to establish child custody.
