How much HIMARS will we get/Channel 24 Collage
In the next aid packages, the United States promised to transfer 4 more HIMARS systems to Ukraine in order to even more effectively drive the enemy out of our territory.
Meanwhile, the head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, has already cryptically hinted that 4 brand new HIMARS from the United States are “far from all.” The head of the Center for Military Legal Sessions Oleksandr Musiyenko predicted how much HIMARS could get Ukraine before autumn. He told Channel 24 about this.
According to him, many experts agree that Ukraine as a whole needs 50 such systems and other types of weapons.
The fact that we will have 20 HIMARS by autumn is understandable, Musienko believes.
And he added that there will be more in the future. No one will stop at these 20. The only issue is pace. They are not as fast as we would like.
When other help appears
In addition, the specialist added, there will be M270 units, the deliveries of which have already begun in Ukraine. Other artillery and ammunition will also be supplied.
And most importantly, these are air defense systems and ground attack and tactical aviation. It should appear before the end of 2022, Musienko believes.
Help. HIMARS is an American multiple launch rocket system. Thanks to the wheelbase, the M270 MLR is highly mobile and faster than the tracked one. It is a powerful, long-range and accurate weapon capable of delivering devastating blows to targets.
