Due to a massive Russian missile attack, more than a million Ukrainians were temporarily without electricity. However, repairmen are already working at the “arrivals”.
The invaders continue to hit energy facilities in different areas. This was announced by Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
How many people are without electricity
- 672,000 subscribers were disconnected in Khmelnytsky region,
- 188,400 in Mykolaiv region,
- in Volynskaya – 102,000,
- in Cherkasy – 242,000,
- in Rivne – 174,790,
- in Kirovohrad – 61,913,
- in Odessa – 10,500.
In total, the air defense forces destroyed 18 missiles. Tymoshenko noted that specialists immediately begin repair work on the affected areas, so power supply will be restored.
Andrey Raikovich, the head of the Kirovograd OVA, noted that there were no casualties at the facilities hit by enemy missiles today. Power engineers have already begun restoration work so that 62,000 subscribers get electricity as soon as possible.
People are asked to save electricity
Ukrenergo stressed that the scale of damage may be the same as during the attack on October 10-12. Moreover, it can even exceed the consequences of those strikes.
In order to reduce the load on the system while repairs continue, blackouts were introduced in 10 regions:
- in Kyiv and the Kyiv region ,
- Chernihiv,
- Cherkasy,
- Zhytomyr,
- Sumy,
- Kharkov,
- Poltava,
- Dnipropetrovsk,
- Zaporozhye,
- in the Kirovohrad regions.
People are stubbornly urged to save electricity . In particular, during peak hours, do not use energy-intensive electrical appliances and turn off unnecessary lighting.
